When Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo came home to Iloilo for the first time after winning the crown, Iloilo Business Park—property giant’s Megaworld’s 72-hectare township in Mandurriao, Iloilo—made sure that she will truly have a grand stay fit for a queen.

Together with the rest of the city, the township welcomed Rabiya, her family, and her entire entourage with the richness of Ilonggo hospitality during her four-day homecoming. Richmonde Hotel inside Iloilo Business Park became the official home of Rabiya.

The township also had the honor of hosting the beauty queen during her 24^th birthday, which she spent in the company of her family and the people closest to her. Later that evening, she also graced the ceremonial lighting of the giant Christmas tree at Festive Walk Mall.

What more can you ask for when you have the most beautiful Filipina lighting up a giant Christmas tree in Western Visayas’ most beautiful mall? In her official Instagram account, Rabiya gamely showed off her signature pageant walk, aptly called the “festive walk” during a recent shoot at Festive Walk Parade also inside the township. Her post, which now has almost 500,000 views, was featured by When in Manila and ABS-CBN.com.

Together with the whole city that poured their all-out support behind her during the recent pageant, the township will once again rally behind Rabiya as she chases her biggest dream to date.

The streets of the township became the perfect backdrop as the newly-crowned queen spent some time exploring its sights and sceneries.
