Old Iloilo Airport
Since the 1930s, the 54-hectare property in Mandurriao district, became the major destination of domestic flights in Panay island. In 2007, we’d seen the end of its operations and happy landings. Megaworld Corporations, the Philippines’ leading real estate developer and pioneering visionary of successful ‘townships’ sets its eyes in Iloilo City by acquiring the Old Iloilo Airport.
The acquisition expanded to 72 hectares, making it Megaworld’s biggest single investment of 35 billion pesos outside of Luzon. Iloilo Business Park (IBP) was masterplanned as a mixed-use residential and commercial complex — incorporating business, lifestyle, and tourism.
Traversing the township is the 1.8 kilometer Megaworld Boulevard which retained 30% of the Old Airport runway. With bike lanes and planting strips alongside the boulevard, Iloilo Business Park emerged as an ecological-centered community.

With the rise of One Global Center, Two Global Center, One Techno Place, and Two Techno Place, the BPO-IT park will generate about 30,000 jobs with the addition of 6 office towers in the next ten years.
